2. Hosting and server log files
This website runs on schubec GmbH's own servers, which we manage ourselves as part of our hosting infrastructure (schubec-hosting.com). The servers are located in data centres operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hetzner provides only the hardware and network connectivity and has no access to the content; we have concluded a data processing agreement with Hetzner pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. No data is transferred to third countries outside the EU.
Each time the website is accessed, the web server automatically stores information in log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system and the previously visited page (referrer). This data is used exclusively to ensure secure and stable operation, to analyse errors and to defend against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are deleted after 90 days at the latest, unless they are needed to investigate a specific incident.
3. Cookies
We do not use cookies for analytics, tracking or advertising purposes. We use only technically necessary session cookies, for example to retain your input across several steps of the contact form or the appointment booking. These cookies contain no data that identifies you personally and are deleted when you close your browser. No consent is required for these cookies (Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021, TKG 2021), which is why we do not display a cookie banner.
4. Contact form and email
If you write to us using the contact form, we process the information you enter (name, email address, subject, message) as well as the IP address from which the request was sent. The message is delivered to our mailbox via our own mail server; no external form or newsletter services are involved.
The purpose is to handle your enquiry and answer any follow-up questions. The legal basis is the initiation or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the data for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and, if a contract is concluded, for the duration of the statutory retention periods. The same applies to enquiries you send to us directly by email.
5. Online appointment booking
When booking an appointment, you select a date, a time and a duration on our website. The actual booking opens a pre-filled email in your own email program. No personal data is stored on our server in the process; processing only begins once you send that email to us. Section 4 then applies.
6. Map in the contact section
The map showing our location is based on OpenStreetMap data. The map tiles are delivered by our own map server (mapserver.schubec-hosting.com), which we operate ourselves. When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to this server and not to any third party. We do not use Google Maps or comparable services from external providers. The map data is licensed under the Open Database License, © OpenStreetMap contributors.
7. Fonts, images and scripts
All fonts, images, stylesheets and scripts on this website are loaded from our own servers. No web fonts from Google Fonts, no third-party content delivery networks and no embedded content from external platforms are loaded. As a result, no third-party provider learns your IP address when you visit our pages.
8. No web analytics
We do not use any web analytics or statistics services, in particular not Google Analytics, and we do not create usage profiles. We only evaluate the server log files mentioned in Section 2, without attributing them to specific individuals.
9. Links to other websites
Our website links to services of other providers, such as Apple's App Store, Google Play, the websites of our clients and partners, or FileMaker resources from Claris. When you click on such a link, you leave our website; data processing there is subject to the privacy policy of the respective provider. We do not embed any content from these providers directly in our pages.
10. Disclosure of data and data processing on behalf of clients
We only disclose personal data if this is necessary to perform a contract, if you have given your consent, or if we are legally obliged to do so. Where we process data on behalf of our clients as part of hosting or development projects, we conclude a data processing agreement with them pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
11. Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to us: access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise these rights, simply contact office@schubec.com; no particular form is required. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
12. Changes
We update this privacy policy whenever our website or the legal situation changes. The version published here at any given time applies. Last updated: October 2026.
