Salzburger Landeskliniken – FileMaker success story

As early as 2016, we had the privilege of building the bespoke FileMaker app ChiBase for general, thoracic and visceral surgery at the Salzburg University Hospitals (Salzburger Landeskliniken, SALK). What began back then as revolutionary documentation on the iPad mini still saves the surgeons valuable time today and ensures error-free, auditable medical documentation.

The schubec principle of sustainability: This project is an impressive example of what we mean by future-proofing. While conventional software often becomes outdated after a few years, ChiBase has been continuously maintained over an entire decade, adapted to new generations of FileMaker and extended – and today, in 2026, it still runs in continuous clinical use, rock-solid and up to date.

FileMaker conference: FM meets Mozart in Salzburg

For ten years, Bernhard Schulz served on the board of the FileMaker Konferenz association, organising FileMaker conferences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland during that time. In September 2026, schubec GmbH brought this experience home: with FM meets Mozart, a FileMaker conference took place in Salzburg for the first time – at the Mozarteum Salzburg, right in the heart of the city.

FM meets Mozart is the user and developer conference for modern FileMaker solutions, AI and interfaces: the meeting point for the entire German-speaking FileMaker community, for users and developers, beginners and professionals alike. The conference is independent of Claris, the talks are mostly in German, and attendance is limited to 60 people – so that genuine exchange remains possible.
